Our Programs
Here at On the Right Path, our mission is simple: to guide youth on the right path to achieving their maximum potential through education, mentorship, and basketball skill development.
We integrate the game of basketball with character-building, allowing kids to see the similarities between being a successful player and a successful person. Being able to get these universal principles ingrained in kids as young as possible will build in them a foundation that will give them the best chance of achieving their maximum potential, both on and off the court.
Our primary method for instilling these values is through our innovative 6-week programs. Each week focuses on integrating 1 Life Skill, 1 Basketball Skill, and 1 Bible Verse. Click here to learn more about our transformative programs.
We currently offer our programs before-school and after-school. Scroll down to learn more.
Before-School
Participating in our before-school “Breakfast Club” provides children with a unique opportunity to develop self-discipline by rising early and dedicating additional effort before the official school day begins. This initiative not only encourages early bedtime for a well-rested night but also ensures the energy required to actively participate in class the next morning, fostering a commitment to both personal growth and academic success.
Our program draws inspiration from the early morning workouts of basketball legends Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Ron Harper, embracing the spirit of dedication and hard work.
After-School
Participating in our after-school “Books & Ball Club” provides a valuable platform for children to further enhance their skills and discipline after the regular school day concludes. By participating in these programs, kids can invest additional time in their personal development, fostering self-discipline and refining their abilities. Moreover, engaging in these activities after school encourages a structured approach to managing time and energy, promoting a balanced lifestyle that contributes to both academic success and overall well-being.
Encouraging students to excel in both academics and basketball, our approach emphasizes that success in one area enhances the other, fostering overall growth and development.
Partnerships
On the Right Path has established a collaboration with InterConnection, a non-profit organization dedicated to “creating opportunity through access to technology.” Through this partnership, we have acquired top-notch refurbished computers, which we proudly distribute to participants of our programs, fostering accessibility and empowering them with the tools needed to navigate the digital landscape.
